Baseboards are one area of the home that can go overlooked; before you know it, there is a fine layer of dirt, scuff marks, and more. Dust Your Baseboards
The first thing you will need to do regularly is dust your baseboards. Dusting your baseboards is as simple as running a microfiber cloth along them, and using a vacuum attachment, or a broom to get the fine layer of dust off. Wash Your Baseboards
About every 6 months or as needed wash your baseboards. To do this, get a bowl with warm water and some Dawn dish soap. Use a rag and run the soapy rag along the baseboard. Rinse and repeat until you have washed all your baseboards. If your baseboards are especially dirty you can add a cup of white vinegar to your water and dish soap, this will help cut through the dirt even better. How to Remove Scuff Marks
An easy way to remove scuff marks is by using a magic eraser to gently scuff them away. It is simply amazing how well these little sponges remove just about any type of scuff mark from your baseboards. Always test on a small area before cleaning a large area. Cleaning Hack: Keeping the Dust Away Longer
To help prevent dust and dirt from accumulating on your baseboards save your used dryer sheets and run them along your baseboards. This helps reduce static to help repel dust, making your cleaning job last longer! Not only does it make your cleaning job last longer, but you also get another use out of your dryer sheets!
